An unfinished basement is
often the last area to be
organized. This tool room had
become a place to dump off
items waiting to be donated,
projects in various stages of
completion, and tools were
dropped near the door without
being put away because it was
difficult to make it to the back of
the space where the toolbox
was located.
After just one session, the
donations were moved to the
garage and scheduled for
pickup, the scattered hand
tools were placed back in the
toolbox, and project areas
were created to store garden
tools, painting supplies,
electrical supplies, hardware,
etc. Items were grouped
together in categories - just
like you would see at a store
like Home Depot or Lowes.
